Xc can be very good but it is a land based forecast Now all i get is a message saying generating. If you based it on a city then you should always add 20% for being at sea
Another one which is very good is passage weather which i have found to be accurate I used to get forecasts for a number of local places from xc weather by putting in their names or postcodes Rasp can be very useful an picks up on local conditions

How can one website produce two different forecasts for same place, same time? Xc weather has been one of my favorite weather websites for a long time, especially the wind observation maps On my recently acquired lenovo tablet however, tapping a screen location brings up data for somewhere to the west Eg, if i want to see winds for the irish sea coast i need to tap.
Xc weather uses the noaa ww3 model i think and wind predictions can be misleading I use xc for viewing current conditions only Wind accuracy can be very very accurate to within 3 hours accuracy using ugrib though of course the further you look ahead the timing get more inaccurate but the trends stay pretty much the same.
